Keitaro Okura
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Yale University.
My research interests broadly encompass immigration, race/ethnicity, education, politics, culture, and social inequality. For my ongoing dissertation work, I am exploring the ethnoracial boundaries of national identity and cultural belonging in the United States. My work draws primarily on quantitative methods, and I frequently engage in original data collection employing survey experiments.
My papers have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals such as Sociology of Education and International Migration Review, and they have received awards from the American Sociological Association and the American Educational Research Association. My research has been supported by the Russell Sage Foundation (RSF), the Rapoport Family Foundation (RFF), the ASA's Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant (DDRIG), and the Time-Sharing Experiments for the Social Sciences (TESS).
